Self Reflection Essay - Emotional Impressions and Thoughts From Other People

Self Reflection Essay - Emotional Impressions and Thoughts From Other PeopleAre you getting ready to start a self-reflection essay? One of the first things I recommend you do is take a look at your writing habits. A lot of writing has to do with imitation. One of the most common traits that writers have when they begin writing is this kind of borrowing from other people's thoughts. Whether it's deliberate or not, it's very likely that you will find yourself taking ideas and thoughts from other people.Take, for example, when you see a photograph of someone crying, you may think, 'that's why he's crying,' even though you've never known the person or what caused his crying. You've been brought up to be this way. We all were. But as you become an adult and start to learn how to express your own emotions in more positive ways, you've probably started using this as a crutch. Instead of being sincere, you're expressing this in a way that is either accurate or doesn't matter. So what do you do ?First of all, you need to develop a more creative mind. Think hard about how you would express the exact same emotion in a different way than what you are presently doing. And don't be afraid to try something new.If you have old friends, use that as an opportunity to add a little humor into your reflections. Or think about how you would feel if you met someone else. Do you think that would inspire you to write? There's a good reason for this. When you find yourself expressing your emotions in a way that makes no sense, it's a sure sign that you need to re-evaluate what your writing style is. And, chances are, the emotion isn't the real emotion behind the actual thought.Use this as a time to find out exactly how you can get back to expressing your personal reflection and feelings. Maybe it's time to add some more life into your writing again.
